What is Pilates?
Pilates is a type of mind-body low-impact exercise regime that can be performed on a gym mat. It involves a series of movements that will stabilise and strengthen your core. The moves may look simple, however, they take a lot of precision and control.
So, what are the benefits of Pilates?
Where do we begin? Pilates was invented by Joseph Pilates. What began as a method for rehabilitating individuals who were suffering from diseases and injuries. It was an invention born out of necessity that utilised items that were available to him, to create resistance exercise equipment for patients. Today, Pilates has become part of so many Australian lives. There are many reasons Pilates should be added to your week. Here are just a few:

We don’t have a horse in the race, but we recommend a beachside Pilates workout because it is a fun outlet that breaks up the rut of the week. You get wonderful views, open spaces, and the most tranquil atmosphere for your mind and body to unwind.

Our winter pop-up mat Pilates classes will continue every Saturday morning between 8:15 – 9.00 am. Please remember to BYO your own mat. All necessary equipment and props will be provided.
