4 PACKING TIPS FOR YOUR FREMANTLE BEACH DAY

We still have the last savoured moments of Perth summer left. It’s the weekend, so what better way to spend it than with your best mates?!

You have just had your lunch, and drink at the marvellous Coast Port Beach.

You and your friends have enjoyed some amazing alfresco dining, and have taken in the Fremantle beach scenery, with that gorgeous airflow, endless blue ocean view and of course, the amazing food.

Spending your day nestled in the dunes of North Fremantle, you have already spent the morning in the markets and now, that you’ve had a couple of drinks and lunch, you are ready to take a dip in blue waters that are calling out to you.

At Coast Port Beach, we have created a little handy-dandy list to help make your already amazing day…even better.

Here are our 4 tips on packing the ultimate beach day bag.

Firstly, choose the right bag

Before you even start your beach day adventure, be sure to choose a good beach bag for the day. Think BIG, or at least big enough to fit the essentials. Preferably, you want to find something with a zip to ensure sand protection and establish a sense of security. Ultimate is a bag with several compartments to assign sections for your assortment of beach accessories.

Don’t forget the essentials

There is no need for over-thinking the packing process. Just so long as you have the basics; a towel, sunscreen, a water bottle and sunglasses, anything additional is a bonus. Consider what sort of activities you will be partaking in your ventures, and be sure to make a list of the required items. A heavy bag can be limiting and taxing on your body, not to mention frustrating when having to dig to find anything.

Make sure you separate the wet and the dry

A key factor is to think ahead. The last thing you want is a soaking, sandy bag. Therefore, an additional waterproof tote is ideal for protecting your other beach accessories. Whilst packing is of no great difficulty, putting everything back at the end of the day is a little more challenging. You’ve been out in the sun all day, whilst a relaxing venture, you’re exhausted by the time you arrive home. A bag that has been divided is easy to sort, especially when feeling lethargic after a long day.

Be efficient

Whether you have lots of space, or hardly any, packing your beach bag efficiently is a great practice. Possibly one of the most streamlined techniques is rolling versus folding. By rolling your towel, you can fit it into tighter confines, and it generally makes it easier to access as an additional perk. This method doesn’t stop at bulky items, you can also apply this to packing your clothes, and by doing this, you also avoid crumpling your outfit.
